Our leadership
Combining a nonprofit perspective with business acuity.
To assure the right combination of nonprofit sensibilities and business acumen, 501(c) Services has built a staff with roots in both the nonprofit and corporate worlds.
Chairman and Founder John Huckstadt has spent many years in the nonprofit world and served as executive director of United Cerebral Palsy for eight years. Upon learning of the savings potential available to a nonprofit organization by opting out of the state unemployment insurance (SUI) tax system, John conceptualized the first program in the country to take advantage of the savings as well as minimize risk for unexpected claims.
To bring a nonprofit perspective to every issue, 501(c) Services sought career nonprofit professionals with a national reputation. Harriet Tunison, president of 501(c) Services, leads a team of 40 staff and consultants to help nonprofits be active and well-informed partners who control their own unemployment costs.
